AIMCO has been harassing and threatening tenants in our community.
At least 2 tenants have received undue THREATS TO BE ARRESTED!!
AIMCO is malicious to individual tenants. Tenants are afraid of speaking up for fear of retaliation and the devastating repercussions it could have on their life.
An entire building of tenants have lost their balconies and are boarded into their "ocean view" apartments. At least 3 households have had their cable lines cut, each on separate occasion, after complaining about their boarded up balcony. Coincidence? I don't think so. Sounds like AIMCO standard code of misconduct.

Ricardo got a Scolding!
Ok, I don't know that he was scolded, but AIMCO did give a written apology for his bad behavior!
The Bluffs at Pacifca
The Bluffs at 380 Esplanade Pacifica. AIMCO attached a new facade, gave Oceanview a new name, and is now leasing "ocean view" apartments!
WHAT OCEAN VIEW? There are current tenants living in these apartments who no longer have the ocean view they pay for.

San Francisco Sues AIMCO Wins $3 million
SF Housing Inspector John Kerley issued 23 serious housing and health violations in 600 AIMCO owned Section 8 units at Bayview-Hunters Point..
Most violations were issued for MOLD and MILDEW problems.
AIMCO intimidated and harassed the housing inspector, and spent over $5 million fighting the lawsuit, finally settling at $3 million with the City to establish a new Boys and Girls Club, and agreed to invest up to $30 million in renovating the complex.

Lincoln Place Apartments
Read about AIMCO's eviction and tenant lockout at Lincoln Place Apartments. The largest single day eviction/lockout in the history of Los Angeles.

I watched this video of the evictions in Venice at Lincoln Place and it is absolutely shocking!!
This is evidence of the EVIL AIMCO does. "Homeless for the Holidays" - Tragic. All these families, celebrating the holidays on the street. In 2003 AIMCO ILLEGALLY DEMOLISHED 5 buildings. The remaining apartments are now a "State Historical Resource".
Let's stop AIMCO destroying our homes in beautiful California. AIMCO has already demolished some of California's historical buildings. AIMCO is neglecting other apartments buildings it currently owns. (TreeTops? ...another post).

Slumlord Management
One of the worst things about living in an AIMCO property is that maintenance is neglected to the point of being criminal.
Electrical outlets are broken, and the breakers constantly pop.
Windows are broken, and have never been fixed.
The heating went out last winter and it was over a month before it was repaired. (Still only a few vents work)
The washers and dryers are always broken, and just last week one of the dryers was filled with urine.
The door frames, balconies, wooden beams, are all rotten, anything metal is corroded and rusty, paint is peeling off everywhere.
Toxic substances: Black mold, asbestos, lead paint.
When a maintenance issue is reported to management it takes days, weeks, or never for AIMCO to do something.
When I moved into 360 Esplanade the kitchen smelled like urine. It was absolutely disgusting. My friends and family were horrified when they were helping me move in. It was a complete embarrassment, not to mention inconvenience. I moved in on a Wednesday, I was starting my new job the next Monday. I had to make numerous phone calls, and let all levels of management in to evaluate the situation. It was absolutely nauseating to be in the kitchen/dining area. I had all my dining room furniture, boxes of kitchen supplies stacked in the living room and it was really difficult to unpack and settle. All day Wednesday, Thursday and Friday passed until on Saturday I had to leave the unit and they had a crew come in to relay the linoleum, repaint the walls, and clean it up. I could finally start using my kitchen on Sunday, the day before starting my new job. It was terrible trying to move in and get settled. I really had to fight to get AIMCO to do something about the stench. It was disgusting.
There was also an issue with the window in my bedroom. The frame was so rusty that when I tried to open the window the frame broke away from the glass leaving the glass window edge exposed. I requested a replacement because it was terribly cold and windy late October and
AIMCO management really delayed on fixing a very obvious and disgusting problem with my apartment.

Obviously, there are too many corrupt execs at aimco to list them all here. But top of the AIMCO SHITLIST today is Ricardo NEEDS-TO-CHECK-HIS-TEMPER Ortiz. Congrats Ricardo, you're aimco's biggest LOSER.
This morning Ricardo told my boyfriend that he was going to have him put in jail for taking his picture! WHAT THE HELL?? Since when has it been a crime to take a photograph?
Ricardo NEEDS-TO-CHECK-HIS-TEMPER Ortiz said "I'll put you in jail if you take another picture" to my boyfriend when he took a picture of him overseeing the construction project. We have hundreds of photos taken in the past few months documenting everything that AIMCO has done wrong, and it is important to document the people responsible for all the "gaffes". This morning we woke up to our apartment filled with toxic fumes, outside our stepping stones had been broken again, and mud from vehicles driving through our patio area was all in the walkway. So, when my boyfriend was out there taking photos, documenting the mess AIMCO made, and Ricardo had to resort to name-calling and making empty threats.
Ricardo is also the same fool who said to my boyfriend and me that our kingdom ends at the walls of our apartment. He is a first rate jerk. Always bragging how he is a shareholder at AIMCO. Well, he may have a couple shares, but he is PISS POOR MORALLY. I and many others, are determined to put an end to the EVIL AIMCO is doing.
